Magical Day Card

Hello today I am sharing a card featuring new digital stamps from Time for tea Designs.

The new release goes live this Friday the 14th of June 2109 at 9pm GMT. You can use discount code T4TKATRINA10 to get 10% discount off your entire order.

To make the scene card I printed off the digital images from the Magical Wishes collection on to Neenah 80lb solar white cardstock using my HP deskjet printer. (Make sure your ink is nice and dry before you start colouring the images to avoid smudging the ink.)

I started with the background scene of pyramids and temples which I cut to fit my card base. I masked off the images using a piece of tracing paper and masking paper. I then took Distress Oxide inks with a blending brush to blend the sky. I used Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Chipped Saphire I did the same to blend the sand, this time using Crushed Olive and Antique Linen. I then carefully removed the mask and coloured the images using my Copic markers. I used a small paintbrush to add splatters of gold and white gold watercolour to the background to add some texture.

I continued with colouring all the other images using my Copics and fussy cut them out. I went around the edges with a black marker.

I adhered the images with a tape runner and with a C0 Copic went under the images to give some shadows.

I made the sentiment by adding some ink to match the card as the sky and printed the sentiment on to it. I cut this out and mounted it on to a piece of black cardstock and trimmed it down to leave a thin black border. I adhered this to the sky.

I added a gem to the tiara and adhered the panel to a piece of gold cardstock and them my card base to complete the card.

Moovellous Birthday Card

Hello. Today I am sharing a card using the Moovellous clear stamp set from Time For tea designs.

There are lots of cute images in this set perfect for making a scene card.

I started the card by stamping the images on to Neenah solar white 80lb cardstock using Memento Tuxedo black ink. The fence is one small image which I stamped several times. The image fits perfectly to be able to do this freehand. No masking or stamp positioning tool needed.

I coloured the images using my Copic markers and cut them out using my Scan N Cut, but coordinating dies are available for this set.

Next I worked on the background. I took Distress Oxide inks in Twisted Citron and Salty Ocean, blending green on the bottom and blue on the top. I stamped the sentiments in black ink.

I arranged my images and adhered them in place using my tape runner to complete the card.

You give me butterflies card.

Hello. Today I am sharing a card for Time For Tea Designs.

I started by stamping the images from the butterflies clear stanmp set on to Neenah classic crest solar white 80lb cardstock. I then coloured the with my Copic markers and cut them out with my Scan N Cut machine (coordinating dies are available.)

To make the background I used Distress Oxide ink in Salty Ocean with a blending brush, blending lightly over the background of a white card base leaving areas of white to give the illusion of a cloudy blue sky. I added some Twisted Citron ink for the grass area.

I made my scene, adhering the images with a tape runner and stamped the sentiment in black ink to complete the card.

Waving Hello Card

Hello. Today I am sharing a scene card using old and new stamp sets from Lawn Fawn.

I used the stamp sets Mermaid For You and Smooth Sailing.

I took a piece of Neenah classic crest 80 lb cardstock and stared by blending Distress Oxide inks to create a sunset background . I masked off half the card panel with purple tape and a small semi circle to represent the sun. I used Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire and Salty Ocean. Starting with the yellow and working up, I used Picket Fence Studio blending brushes and added lines of colour, building up the layers for each colour until I was happy with the blend. I then removed the semi circle mask and went over it with the yellow lightly to blend out the white colour of the card.

Next I worked on the sea. I did exactly the same as I did for the sky just switching up the colours of ink to Mustard Seed, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch and Tumbled glass. I made sure not to go too heavy on the yellow and light blue as they do create green when the mix but this was ok for how I wanted my scene to look.

Once the inking was complete I used my favourite Gansai Tambi white gold watercolor and flicked it from a paint brush over the blue area of the sky and the sea.

I decided to add a distant mountain so cut a mask to the shape I wanted and added Ground Espresso ink.

I took a piece of Neenah 80lb solar white card and stamped out my images in Memento Tuxedo black ink, masking the lighthouse and stamping the rock overlapping and masking the bear and bunny, stamping the boat on top. I coloured the images with my Copic markers and fussy cut them out. I then went around the edges with a black marker.

I used a tape runner to adhere the images to the card and stamped the waves, birds and sentiment in the black ink.

To complete the card I added a gold gem to the lighthouse and attached the panel to a card base.

Thanks for dropping by. Take care for now.

Relaxing Holiday Beach Card.

Hello. Today I am sharing a card made using one of the stamp sets from the new Lawn Fawn release. The set is called On The Beach.

I started with the background. I cut a rough mask from a piece of purple tape to be the shape of a horizen line. I then used Distress Oxide inks in Antique linen for the sand and Peacock Feathers for the sea. I used a Picket Fence blending brush and added the ink making sure to blend lighter in each colour towards where they meet but not letting the colours touch. This leaves the illusion of white sea foam. There is a video tutorial showing how I created the beach background over on my YouTube channel.

I then took some gold watercolour from Gansai Tambi and flicked it from the edge of a paint brush to add some texture to the sand area. I lightly blended some Oxide in salty ocean over the sky area in random areas to keep some areas of white.

Next I worked on the images. I stamped them on to Neenah solar white 80lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured them with my Copic markers. I then cut them out with my Scan N Cut machine. arranged them roughly where I wanted them on my scene and cut away the white border with a small pair of scissors where I wanted the images to overlap (the suncream with the shell and bear with the ball.)

I stamped the sentiment using my Misti and the Memento black ink. Then adhered the images using a tape runner.

To complete the card I added some Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen to add sparkle to the umbrella.

I hope you like the card. Take care for now.

Purrfect Day Card

Hello.

Today I am sharing a card for Time For Tea Designs combining a digi stamp with clear stamps.

I started by printing the phone from the Time For Tea Designs Bonnie hey friend digital stamp set. I coloured the outside of the phone using my Copic markers. I then took the clear stamp set Mew Are Pawsome and stamped the cat in a box image into the middle of the phone, using Memento Tuxedo black ink. I drew in some lines to look like there was a skirting board and coloured the cat, box and surrounding areas to look like the cat was in a room having his photo taken!

Next I fussy cut the image and set it aside while I worked on the background. I took a card base, some Distress Oxide ink in spun sugar and a stencil from Altenew called ‘watercolor stripes’ I went over the stencil with the ink using a blending tool then leaving the stencil attached spritzed some water over the inked areas and soaked up any excess water with a paper towel.

Once the ink was dry I took the sentiments from the mew are pawsome stamp set and stamped them on the background. To complete the card I adhered the phone with a tape runner.

I hope you like it. Thanks for dropping by.

Katrina.

Mermaid Birthday Card

Hello. Today I am sharing a card using clear stamps from Time For Tea Designs.

I used two clear stamp sets ‘Swimming by to say hi’ and ‘Mermazing’

These stamps are available exclusively from Create and Craft

I started by stamping the mermaid, starfish and shell images on to X-press it blending card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then used my Copic markers to colour the images. I cut them out and placed them to one side.

Next I worked on the background. I cut some masking paper to mask the corners and leave a wave shape through the centre of a card base. I then used Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink with a blending tool to add colour over the area. To add the bubbles I took the Time For Tea Designs ‘wonderful waves’ stencil and used the bubbles to stencil over using Blueprint sketch Distress Oxide. I then spritzed the inked area with water and soaked up the excess with a paper towel.

Finally I stamped the sentiments using my Misti and adhered the images, using foam pads for the mermaid and a liquid glue for the shells and starfish to complete the card.

Thanks for dropping by.
