Merry Christmouse card

Hello.

Today I am sharing a card for Time For Tea Designs featuring some brand new products.

These products are currently available from Create and Craft TV and go live on the Time For Tea Designs website on Tuesday 26th November.

To start the card I took a piece of white cardstock and the ‘treemendous Christmas’ stencil and used a blender brush to blend Distress Oxide ink in Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron over the stencil.

I stamped and coloured the little mouse from the ‘Woodland Critters’ stamp set with my Copic Markers and used the co-ordinating die to cut him out. And gave him a little Santa hat.

I took the ‘Merry’ word die, cutting the outline shadow from the top section from the background panel and also from a piece of white card and the word from red card.

I stamped the Christmas sentiment from the ‘say anything’ stamp set and used the co-ordinating strip die to cut it out.

Next is assembling the card. I took the background panel and adhered it to a card base. Then I attached the mouse and Merry sentiment with liquid glue. I used foam pads to adhere the Christmas sentiment and to complete the card I decorated some of the trees using a black pen and some small gems.

Take care for now.

Katrina.

Simple thinking of you card

Hello. Today I am sharing a simple thinking of you card for Time For Tea Designs.

This card uses one of the brand new clear stamp sets being released tomorrow the 11th November on Create And Craft TV. Make sure you join Jo Davies live at 3pm GMT to see the full reveal of all the brand new stamps, dies and stencils, plus the new blending brushes!

To make my card I took my card base and masked off a portion to the left hand side to add ink. I used a blending brush to add Distress Oxide inks Ripe Persimmon, Carved Pumpkin and Mustard Seed. Once this was dry I stamped the sentiment using black ink.

Next I worked on my images. I stamped the cute fox and the leaves from the Woodland Critters stamp set, on to some Neenah classic crest 80lb cardstock and coloured them in with my Copic markers. I then die cut the images with the coordinating dies. I adhered the images to the card using a tape runner.

Happy Birthday Card

Hello. Today I am sharing a simple Birthday card for Time For Tea Designs.

To start off I took a piece of stone coloured cardstock and the ‘flower garden bold prints’ background stamp from Hero Arts. I placed the stamp in my Misti stamping platform and covered it in Hero Arts white pigment ink then stamped this on to the card.

White the background panel dried I coloured the girl image with my Copic markers. The image is from the Time For Tea Designs clear stamp set ‘Butterflies.’ I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the same stamp set and heat embossed it on to a strip of white card with Ranger liquid platinum embossing powder. I cut out the girl and the sentiment strip and set aside.

I took the dry background panel and die cut it out with the My Favorite Things wonky stitched rectangle die. I then adhered the panel to my card base.

I attached the sentiment strip and the girl and added some sequins for a bit of sparkle. I also added a couple of small gems to the girls hat and belt to complete the card.

I hope you like it.

Take care for now.

Mermaid shaker card

Hello.

I have been so busy with my work commitments that my crafting took a back seat for a while but I am back with a shaker card using Time For Tea Designs stamps and dies to create a shaker card.

I stamped and Copic coloured images from the ‘Shell Phone’ and ‘Mermazing’ clear stamp sets and die cut them out.

Next I selected Distreas Oxide inks in Tumbld Glass, Salty Ocean and Broken China and used Picket Fence Studios blending brushes to apply the ink to two separate pieces of card to create a backgrounds. Once dry I splattered some Gansai Tambi watercolour in white gold over both pieces.

I die cut a window from one of the blended pieces of card to create a frame, then attached an acetate window to the back of the frame. I stamped the sentiment on to the acetate using Versafine ink. Stamping over three times to get a good impression. Stazon ink would have worked better but my pad needed reinking. Next I added three layers of foam tape to the back of the frame and filled it with ‘Aquamarine’ sequins from Doodles Paper Playground. I attached the background panel to the frame to crrate the shaker.

I adhered the die cut images to the front of the card and added some white opal loquid pearls, some glossy accent dots and applied some wink of stella glitter pen to the mermaids hair and tail to complete the card.

Thanks for dropping by. Take care for now.

Just Because card

Hello. I hope you are well. It has been a bit chilly here today and I am sad to say goodbye to Summer but love Autumn colours and cosy nights crafting.

Today I am sharing a card as part of the Altenew AECP. The class that inspired my card was all about foiling without a laminater.

There are a couple of ways to add foil to a card. One way is to stamp images on to your card and use a bonding powder or embossing powder and a heat tool, then add the foil burnishing it on with your fingers or a bone folder.

Then there was the way I added foil. To start off I took a piece of white card and some double sided craft tape. I lined up the tape diagonally along the card.

I covered the whole card in even strips the cut off the excess along the edge of the card. I then removed the backing on all the strips. I took a piece of fancy foil from Gina K Designs and placed the card face down on to it. I rubbed all over the back of the card with my fingers then flipped the card over and did the same on the front. Then its time for the reveal. I carefull peeled back the foil to reveal the stripes.

To add some interest to the card I stamped a flower and two leaves from the Altenew Perfectly Perfect stamp set and coloured them with my Copic markers. I then fussy cut the out. I stamped and white heat embossed the ‘just because’ sentiment from the Altenew heartfelt sentiments stamp set on to black card and adhered it to my background usng a tape runner and used foam pads to add dimension and attach the flowers.

To complete the card I adhered the panel to a piece of black cardstock to add a black border then adhered this to a card base.

Thanks for dropping by.

Sealife inspired card

Hello. Today I am sharing a card for Time For Tea Designs. As Sumner draws to a close I had a design idea based on a visit to the sealife centre! I used two clear stamp sets from Time For Tea Designs. Butterflies and Shell Phone.

To make the card I first worked on the circle window. I die cut two circles big enough for the window.

I took the first circle and ink blended Distress Oxide inks using Salty Ocean for the bottom half and Broken China for the top half. I splattered some water over the inked area and soaked up the excess with a paper towel.

I then took the second circle and die cut from the centre the next smallest circle die I had. This gives a round frame for the window. I used C0 and C2 Copic markers to colour the frame and a silver Sharpie pen to add dots around the frame.

Next I stamped my images. I used Memento Tuxedo black ink to stamp on Neenah classic crest solar white cardstock. I used the octopus, fish and the girl and coloured them with my Copic markers then cut them out.

Using a liquid adhesive I attached the circle frame to the inked circle. The liquid glue allows some time to move the frame to the perfect position. I used a tape runner to attach the fish and octopus to the window.

Now it is time to work on the card base. I took a piece of purple tape and masked off a section at the bottom of the card to represent the floor and blended some Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke ink. I then took Stormy Sky ink and blended an area that was slightly bigger than the window but without covering the whole card.

I attached the window to the centre of the inked area with my tape runner, then attachd the girl with foam pads to give the card some dimension. I stamped the sentiment with black ink.

To complete to card I added some dots of glossy accents and some sequins to the window and gems to the girls hat and belt.

I love how the card turned out. I hope you like it too.
