It’s been a little while since I shared a shaker card but when I saw that Doodles Paper Playground were having a Birthday giveaway and contest I decided it was the perfect opportunity to share one to join in the fun #showmeyourshaker.
I immediately though of my cloud dies from Honey Bee stamps and some unicorns would be perfect for a shaker. This is how I made the card.
I started by cutting a card panel from Neenah 80lb to 4 and 1/4 by 5 and a 1/2 inches. I also cut 2 pieces of fun foam to the same size.
I placed 3 of the cloud dies from the Honey Bee Stamps set ‘Partly Cloudy’ on to my piece of card. Once I was happy with the placement I ran it through my Big Shot die cutting machine.
Next I used Distress Oxide inks in Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass and Squeezed Lemonade to add some colour to the card panel. I then used a Distress sprayer to spritz the panel with water and used a price of kitchen towel to soak up any excess.
I stamped out some images from The My Favourite Things stanp set Magical Unicorns and coloured them using Copic markers. I used my Scan n Cut to them out.
I stamped a sentiment from the MFT set and I adhered the images to the panel.
Next I worked on the shaker element. I adhered the 2 pieces of fun foam together. I then lined up the clouds from the front panel and cut 3 sections out of the fun foam that were slightly larger than the clouds.
I took a piece of acetate and adhered it to the back of the front card panel and adhered the fun foam panel on top of the acetate. Once the glue was dry I filled each of the cloud holes with sequins.
I took a card base and used the Distress inks to blend ink where the clouds would sit. Once this was day I brushed over the area with an anti static powder tool.
To complete the card I adhered the card base on top of the fun foam.
Thanks for dropping by.

Hello. I hope you are well. It is still very hot here. The past couple of days have been exceptionally hot.
Today I am sharing the monochrome card I made.
This morning I watched a YouTube video by one of my biggest inspirations Kristina Werner. This week is watercolour week over on her channel. Take a look at her videos.
Todays video was a one colour challenge. Kristina used one watercolour colour to make a card. She suggested during her video it would be fun to use a dark colour to do a card and I fell in love with the idea and had to give it a try.
To start I selected a dark but not quite black colour from my Gansai Tambi watercolour set. I used watercolour paper to do a wash background and added a darker section at the bottom for the ground. It took a few layers for me to be happy and it looks quite messy at this point but I was happy with the final result.
I am really keen to practice watercolour techniques more.
Next I selected the ‘upon a star’ stamp set by Lawn Fawn. I stamped the animals on to watercolour paper and painted them with the same watercolour paint as the background.
Once complete I cut them out with my scan n cut machine and put them to one side.
Once my background was dry I used a powder tool over the sky area and stamped the sentiment with a clear embossing pad then sprinkled with Ranger liquid platinum embossing powder and heated it with my heat tool. I then repeated this with the stars and used Ranger white embossing powder.
I then attached the animals and stars using small foam squares to add some dimension and complete the card.
I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by today.

Hello friends. I hope you are enjoying the summer so far.
Today I am sharing the dino card I made this morning.
I started the card by die cutting 6 square frames from white cardstock using the Lawn Fawn die set called selfie frames.
I then took a white square card base and marked out where I wanted the frames to go. Once I had done that I masked the edges with post it notes and used distress oxide inks to blend the three square backgrounds.
The background blends are Distress Oxide salty ocean with twisted citron, squeezed lemonade with carved pumpkin, picked raspberry with candied apple.
Once the background squares were blended I layed down three frames and attached them with liquid adhiesive and then repeated again with another frame on top of each to give the frames some depth.
Next I used Copic markers to colour three dinosaurs to match the backgrounds, then die cut them and attached one to the centre of each frame and added a rwar speech bubble.
I stamped a sentiment on each frame using Lawn Fawn inks to match the colours in the frames.
To complete the card I added some small gems and some twine with a bow. I hope you like it.

Take care for now.
Hello. I hope you are well. Today I thought I would pop on and share with you a tag I made.
I started by working on the background. I used the ‘unbeleafable’ stencil from Heffy Doodle and coated it with Deco Foil transfer gel.
Making sure I have it a smooth even coating I then left it to dry for an hour.
While it was drying I coloured images from the Heffy Doodle wingman stamp set using Copic markers. Then cut them out with the coordinating dies.
Once the background was dry I used a sheet of Deco Foil and placed it over the card covering in transfer gel and run it through my laminater twice. I then peeled off the foil to reveal the leaves.
I used a die from the Mama Elephant ‘bookmark it’ set to cut the tag shape from the background then adhered the parrot to complete the tag.
I hope you like it.
Take care for now.
Hello friends. I hope you are well. They weather is finally on the up and we are having some nice warm sunny days now.
Todat I thought I would share two teacher cards I made this week. Only four weeks left at school here before the six week summer break. Being a pre-school teacher myself I am looking forward to the break and lots if crafty time between keeping my own three kids entertained!
This is the first card. I used lots of different brands to create this. I used a free download paper from Downland Crafts. I printed it on to white Bristol cardstock then trimmed to size and attached to a square white card base.
I then coloured images from the Mama Elephant stamp set Page Huggers, using Copic markers. I die cut them with the coordinating dies.
Next I used stamps from Sugar Pea Designs to add the sentiment and the A+. To finish off I attached the images and die cut a heart shape to complete.
This is the second card. I went for a clean and simple design this time.
I stamped and coloured images from the Mama Elephant new release stamp set called Bookworm. All the images are from the set. Next I used the teacher die from Heffy Doodle. I die cut it twice, once in red and once in white and layered them.
To finish I attached all the images to a square card base
I hope you like the cards. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week ahead.
