Happy Birthday Card

Hello. Today I am sharing a simple Birthday card for Time For Tea Designs.

To start off I took a piece of stone coloured cardstock and the ‘flower garden bold prints’ background stamp from Hero Arts. I placed the stamp in my Misti stamping platform and covered it in Hero Arts white pigment ink then stamped this on to the card.

White the background panel dried I coloured the girl image with my Copic markers. The image is from the Time For Tea Designs clear stamp set ‘Butterflies.’ I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the same stamp set and heat embossed it on to a strip of white card with Ranger liquid platinum embossing powder. I cut out the girl and the sentiment strip and set aside.

I took the dry background panel and die cut it out with the My Favorite Things wonky stitched rectangle die. I then adhered the panel to my card base.

I attached the sentiment strip and the girl and added some sequins for a bit of sparkle. I also added a couple of small gems to the girls hat and belt to complete the card.

I hope you like it.

Take care for now.

Crazy Cat Lady Card.

Hello.

Today I am sharing a card fit for any crazy cat person!

To make this card i used three clear stamp sets from Time For Tea Designs. Butterflies for the girl and Smile sentiment, Mew Are Pawsome for the cats and Moovellous for the Birthday sentiment.

I started the card by stamping and colouring the main images using Copic markers and cut them out. The cat at the top was a stamp of a cat peeking out from a box. I cut around it to remove the box and used a white gel pen to hide the ink lines left. They are not completely hidden and the perfectionist in me can still see them but that’s ok!

Next I worked on my background. I used the Line Em Up stencil. I used purple tape to attach the stencil to my card base and a Picket Fence life changing blending brushes to add Distress Oxide ink in Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar.

Once the ink was dry I used Gansai Tambi white gold watercolour and flicked it from a paint brush to leave small splatters over the stripes.

Once the background was dry I stamped the sentiments using Versafine black ink, then adhered my images. I used foam pads to pop up the two sitting cats to give the card some dimension.

To complete the card I added a few sequins from Little Things By Lucy .

Thanks for dropping by.

Magical Day Card

Hello today I am sharing a card featuring new digital stamps from Time for tea Designs.

The new release goes live this Friday the 14th of June 2109 at 9pm GMT. You can use discount code T4TKATRINA10 to get 10% discount off your entire order.

To make the scene card I printed off the digital images from the Magical Wishes collection on to Neenah 80lb solar white cardstock using my HP deskjet printer. (Make sure your ink is nice and dry before you start colouring the images to avoid smudging the ink.)

I started with the background scene of pyramids and temples which I cut to fit my card base. I masked off the images using a piece of tracing paper and masking paper. I then took Distress Oxide inks with a blending brush to blend the sky. I used Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Chipped Saphire I did the same to blend the sand, this time using Crushed Olive and Antique Linen. I then carefully removed the mask and coloured the images using my Copic markers. I used a small paintbrush to add splatters of gold and white gold watercolour to the background to add some texture.

I continued with colouring all the other images using my Copics and fussy cut them out. I went around the edges with a black marker.

I adhered the images with a tape runner and with a C0 Copic went under the images to give some shadows.

I made the sentiment by adding some ink to match the card as the sky and printed the sentiment on to it. I cut this out and mounted it on to a piece of black cardstock and trimmed it down to leave a thin black border. I adhered this to the sky.

I added a gem to the tiara and adhered the panel to a piece of gold cardstock and them my card base to complete the card.

Thanks for dropping by.

I started by stamping the images from the butterflies clear stanmp set on to Neenah classic crest solar white 80lb cardstock. I then coloured the with my Copic markers and cut them out with my Scan N Cut machine (coordinating dies are available.)

To make the background I used Distress Oxide ink in Salty Ocean with a blending brush, blending lightly over the background of a white card base leaving areas of white to give the illusion of a cloudy blue sky. I added some Twisted Citron ink for the grass area.

I made my scene, adhering the images with a tape runner and stamped the sentiment in black ink to complete the card.

Relaxing Holiday Beach Card.

Hello. Today I am sharing a card made using one of the stamp sets from the new Lawn Fawn release. The set is called On The Beach.

I started with the background. I cut a rough mask from a piece of purple tape to be the shape of a horizen line. I then used Distress Oxide inks in Antique linen for the sand and Peacock Feathers for the sea. I used a Picket Fence blending brush and added the ink making sure to blend lighter in each colour towards where they meet but not letting the colours touch. This leaves the illusion of white sea foam. There is a video tutorial showing how I created the beach background over on my YouTube channel.

I then took some gold watercolour from Gansai Tambi and flicked it from the edge of a paint brush to add some texture to the sand area. I lightly blended some Oxide in salty ocean over the sky area in random areas to keep some areas of white.

Next I worked on the images. I stamped them on to Neenah solar white 80lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured them with my Copic markers. I then cut them out with my Scan N Cut machine. arranged them roughly where I wanted them on my scene and cut away the white border with a small pair of scissors where I wanted the images to overlap (the suncream with the shell and bear with the ball.)

I stamped the sentiment using my Misti and the Memento black ink. Then adhered the images using a tape runner.

To complete the card I added some Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen to add sparkle to the umbrella.

I hope you like the card. Take care for now.

Toucan Of My Afftection Card.

Hello.

Today is an exciting day for Time For Tea Designs as it is new release day. I am sharing a shaker card featuring the new clear stamp set Toucan Do This available now.

I started the card by ink blending a card panel to fit my card base with Distress Oxide inks Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron. I flicked some Gansai Tambi white gold watercolour paint from a paintbrush to add some sparkle and set this aside to dry. Once dry I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo black ink.

Next I stamped the images using the Memento ink I selected the birds, tree branch, hearts and leaves on to some Neenah 80lb cardstock and coloured them with my Copic markers. I then cut them out with my scan n cut machine.

I used a circle die to cut out a window from the green panel and adhered some acetate on the back of the panel with a tape runner. I then adhered the images around the window with my tape runner.

To make the shaker element I placed 3 layers of foam tape around the window and around the edges of the card panel. I used an anti static powder tool around the window area then filled it with sequins. I used the Mardi Gras Parade mix from Doodles Paper Playground.

I then released the foam tape and adhered a card base to the panel to complete the card.

I hope you like it as much as I do.

Head over to Time For Tea Designs and use discount code T4TKATRINA10 to get 10% off your whole order including the new release stamps.

Mermaid Birthday Card

Hello. Today I am sharing a card using clear stamps from Time For Tea Designs.

I used two clear stamp sets ‘Swimming by to say hi’ and ‘Mermazing’

These stamps are available exclusively from Create and Craft

I started by stamping the mermaid, starfish and shell images on to X-press it blending card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then used my Copic markers to colour the images. I cut them out and placed them to one side.

Next I worked on the background. I cut some masking paper to mask the corners and leave a wave shape through the centre of a card base. I then used Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink with a blending tool to add colour over the area. To add the bubbles I took the Time For Tea Designs ‘wonderful waves’ stencil and used the bubbles to stencil over using Blueprint sketch Distress Oxide. I then spritzed the inked area with water and soaked up the excess with a paper towel.

Finally I stamped the sentiments using my Misti and adhered the images, using foam pads for the mermaid and a liquid glue for the shells and starfish to complete the card.

Thanks for dropping by.

Places You’ll Flamingo Card

Hello. I hope you are well.

The flamingos on the Lawn Fawn stamp set Flamingo Together get me thinking about one of the items on my bucket list which is to visit Aruba. I decided to use this as inspiration for my card.

I started the card by stamping some flamingos on to some Copic friendly cardstock. I then coloured them using my Copic Markers, I did the same with the palm trees, cut them all out and put them to one side.

Next I worked on the background. I took a piece of white cardstock to make a card base and blended my Distress Oxides straight on top. I masked an area for the sky and blended salty ocean. I then masked the sky to blend the sea using peacock feathers. I used antique linen for the sand, making sure there was a small white space between the sand and sea areas to represent the waves.

Once the background was dry I stamped the sentiment using Memento Tuxedo black ink and used foam squares to adhere the flamingos. I the adhered the palm trees using a tape runner to complete the card.

Take care for now
