Teacher cards.

Hello friends. I hope you are well. They weather is finally on the up and we are having some nice warm sunny days now.

Todat I thought I would share two teacher cards I made this week. Only four weeks left at school here before the six week summer break. Being a pre-school teacher myself I am looking forward to the break and lots if crafty time between keeping my own three kids entertained!

This is the first card. I used lots of different brands to create this. I used a free download paper from Downland Crafts. I printed it on to white Bristol cardstock then trimmed to size and attached to a square white card base.

I then coloured images from the Mama Elephant stamp set Page Huggers, using Copic markers. I die cut them with the coordinating dies.

Next I used stamps from Sugar Pea Designs to add the sentiment and the A+. To finish off I attached the images and die cut a heart shape to complete.

This is the second card. I went for a clean and simple design this time.

I stamped and coloured images from the Mama Elephant new release stamp set called Bookworm. All the images are from the set. Next I used the teacher die from Heffy Doodle. I die cut it twice, once in red and once in white and layered them.

To finish I attached all the images to a square card base

I hope you like the cards. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week ahead.

Cute cats card

Hello crafty friends.

I hope you are well. Today I made a Birthday card using a new stamp set from My Favourite Things.

The set is called Meow Mix. I started by stamping and colouring the cute images using my copic markers.

Next I made the background by using the My Favourite Things cloud stencil. I used a blending tool and Distress Oxide ink on Bristol smooth cardstock. I then die cut the grass using the Honey Bee Stamps grass border die on some green textured cardstock.

I then added the stamped images and played around to see where I wanted them to sit. When I was happy I adhered them with my tape runner. To complete the card I heat embossed the sentiment from the stamp set.

I hope you like the card. I am really happy with the results. Shame we are having cloudy day today which means the lighting for photo isn’t as great as it could be, I am too impatient to wait though as who knows when the next sunny day will be here in the UK!!

Take care for now and if you are new to my blog please check out my Instagram page to see all my work.

Oceans of love card.

Here is my latest card. I used a stamp set from the new My Favourite Things release.

To start the card I took a card base and used the MFT basic shapes circles stencil and blended each circle with Distress Oxide ink blueprint sketch and salty ocean.

Next I coloured the images from the MFT stamp set Beach Buds.

Then used my scan n cut, to cut them out.

I used my tape runner to add the images to the card base.

Next I added the sentiment by heat embossing with Ranger embossing powder liquid platinum. This is definitely my favourite embossing powder, the colour is beautiful and the quality of the powder is lovely.

To finish off I used liquid pearls to add some bubbles.

Safari card

Hello. I hope you are well.

Today I am sharing my safari card.

I used lots of distress ink and a stamp set from My Favourite Things called Safari Party.

To start I used the stitched hillside dies from Lawn Fawn and the grass border die from Honey Bee Stamps to cut the shapes for the background from watercolour paper. I used Distress inks to blend these and the sky.

Next I coloured the cute critters from the Safari Party stamp set and cut them with my scan n cut.

The birds were from a different MET set they were chicks which I coloured to look like parrots as I wanted something to go in the sky.

Once I had all my pieces I started building the scene by layering the background then tucking the animals in place and securing using my tape runner.

To finish off I stamped two sentiments from the stamp set.

I hope you like the card. Thanks for dropping by.

I am currently taking part in the daily marker 30 day colouring challenge.

Doughnuts Birthday Card

Hello crafty friends. I hope you are well.

Today I have a card to share with you using a stamp set from the new Mama Elephant release.

These cute images were such fun to colour. I used the Mama Elephant set called Donut Treats with the Grid Window creative cuts die.

To start I used Distress ink to blend a light pink background for the card. Then I die cut the grid window frame and attached it to the background.

I used Copic Markers to colour the images of the mice and doughnuts, giving each mouse a hat to match their treat! I used my scan n cut to cut out the images.

I then attached the images on the the card.

To finish off I attached a sentiment from the stamp set and used liquid pearls to add dots for some additional interest and texture.

Thanks for dropping by.

Happy Crafting.

Scene card.

Hello. I hope you are well. The lovely sunny days we were having have now been replaced by cloudy cooler days. Hopefully sunny days will be back soon.

Today I wanted to share my scene card with you.

I used a new stamp set called critter concert from Lawn Fawn combined with one if their older sets joy into the woods.

I started by using the Lawn Fawn scalloped rectangle dies to cut the background and frame from watercolour paper.

Next I stamped the birch trees on to the background and used distress ink to watercolour the background trees, sky and grass.

I then used Distress Oxide inks to ink blend the frame. I cut and ink blended a grass border from Honey Bee Stamps and stuck the frame and grass border together to make the background.

I used Copic markers to colour three of the cute images from the stamp set the bear, fox and racoon.

Then die cut them and attached to the card. To finish I added a Happy Birthday sentiment from the set.

I hope you like the finished card.

Ink blending

I love that moment when you peel back the masking paper after some ink blending.

I wasn’t sure where the card was heading I just wanted some blended circles and to play with my Distress Oxide inks.

I chose simelar colours to blend together. I am currently in the process of widening my Distress Oxide ink collection. I find it blends so beautifully on smooth card stock. I always used to use watercolour paper for blending with regular distress inks. I find the Oxide inks so easy to blend with hardly any effort and on a wider variety of cardstock.

To make the background I made a mask of circles by die cutting three circles on to a piece of masking paper in the positions I wanted them on the card. I then stuck down the masking paper on to the card and blended the inks. Then peeled off the masking paper leaving the circles perfectly formed.

I have been sorting through stamp sets that I have accumulated from craft magazine gifts and came across a nature set which was perfect for black stamping against the colours. Sadly the stamp set doesn’t have a name printed on it so I can’t remember where it came from or what it is called.

I used my misti stamping tool to stamp the images on to the circles, then added some gems to finish.

Here is the finished postcard.

Thanks for dropping by. Have a great day.

Princess Card

Hello. I hope you are well. We are enjoying the bank holiday weekend sunshine here.

I am sharing the princess card I made today. I couldn’t resist the new stamp set from Clearly Besotted called fairy tale princess.

I coloured in the images with copic markers. This is the first time I have had a go at colouring gold with copics. I was pleased with the result.

I started with some watercolour paper to make the card and used Lawn Fawn stitched rectangles to cut the background and frame. I then used Distress Oxide ink to add the colour. I added an acetate window to the frame.

I stamped the sentiment and filled the base with some sequins from Neat and Tangled this colour mix is my favourite.

I attached the images to the acetate window and used foam tape to attach the window to the base.

Thanks for dropping by.
