Hello It has been a stormy few days here, perfect time to play in my craft room.

I couldn’t help myself when I saw the new release for Sizzix and Tim Holtz and had to get my hands on the amazing new thinlet dies. For these cards I used the bunny set.
To start my cards I cut two pieces of watercolour card to 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches. I heat embossed the sentiments one in black and one in white. These amazing sentiments are from the Stampers Anonymous set CMS252 Ponderings.
I used Distress Mica sprays and water to make a bright inky background over the heat embossed cards. Have fun and just play to create backgrounds. No two will ever be the same. For each card I sprayed the panel with water then placed into a box to keep the spray contained. I sprayed the mica sprays and then some water where needed before drying with a heat tool. I then added more layers where I felt needed some extra colour. I used a damp cloth and run this carefully over the embossed area to remove any ink from the writing.
Once the panels were completely dry I used some stamps and stencils to add some more interest to the background with Distress Inks. Again just pick at random stamps and stencils and just enjoy the process.

Next I worked on the bunnies. I blended Distress Oxide inks on to white card. I used Tattered Rose, Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy. I used black card for the eyes, nose and mouth. Once the ink was dry I die cut the pieces and glued them together using Distress Collage Medium. Once all the pieces were in place I splattered the bunnies with gold watercolour paint and then spritzed with water, soaking up the excess with a paper towel.

I used a stitched rectangle die to add some texture and a finishing touch to the card panels and run them through my die cutting machine. Using the Collage Medium I adhered the bunnies, then adhered each of the panels to an A2 size card base to complete the cards.

Take care for now
