Heffy Doodle And Time For Tea Designs Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Designs Collaboration Blog Hop! Our design teams have come together to share some amazing inspiration featuring Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Designs products, and there is a prize up for grabs, too!

When I heard about the collaboration of Heffy Doodle and Time For Tea Designs, straight away I had an idea in mind to combine images from both companies.

I used two stamp sets for this card, you’re weird from Heffy Doodle and baked with love from Time For Tea Designs.

To start the card I cut a slimline panel and used Distress Ink to blend a galaxy. To get a good galaxy it takes a bit of time and patience and lots of layers. It will look a bit of a mess to start with but just keep going, the end result is worth it.

Once I had my galaxy background ready I splattered some silver watercolour and some white gauche paint over the panel using a small paint brush and set it aside to dry.

Next I worked on the images. I stamped the images with Memento tuxedo black ink, on to Neenah 80lb classic crest card so I could colour with my Copics. to get the mouse inside the spaceship I made a mask for the main part of the vehicle, leaving a window for the glass area and stamped the image over the top.

I coloured my images and fussy cut them out. I was going to use the coordinating dies but decided there was better contrast with the dark background with no white border.

I heat embossed the sentiment with liquid platinum embossing powder from Ranger and adhered the images to the card with liquid glue. I added glossy accents on the window area of the ship and the little lights.

I adhered the panel to a white folded card base to complete the card. I hope you like it. It was such a fun card to make.

  11. I like how you used the mouse in the alien ship. I have that ship, but have only put the kooky monsters in it. This is very sweet.
