Hello. Today I am sharing a card I made as part of the Altenew Educator Certification Programme.

The class was all about sentiments. I learnt lots about placement of sentiments and loved the look of stamping sentiments in different colours.
To start the card I stamped a large floral image and some leaves from the Altenew stamp set Poppy Garden. I coloured them with my Copic markers and added some extra shading with my Polychromos coloured pencils. I then die cut them with the coordinating dies.
Next I worked on the background. I took the Altenew watercolor stripes stencil and atyached it to my card base with washi tape. I used a blending brush to apply Bundled Sage Distress Oxide ink working from the bottom left corner. I applied the ink heavier at the bottom then worked out to a lighter covering leaving lots of white space towards the top of the card.

For my sentiment I used the Fancy Thanks word die, which I die cut from some green card I had in my stash. I cut it twice to give some dimension, adhering one on top of the other.
Now to put the card together. I layed out my stamped images and thanks sentiment to work out the exact placement of the word friend which is from the Half Tone Hello stamp set. I stamped this in red ink. I then adhered the leaves, flower and thanks word.
I added a few sequins to complete the card.
Thanks for dropping by.
Katrina.
