Hello. Today I am sharing a card for Time For Tea Designs. As Sumner draws to a close I had a design idea based on a visit to the sealife centre! I used two clear stamp sets from Time For Tea Designs. Butterflies and Shell Phone.
To make the card I first worked on the circle window. I die cut two circles big enough for the window.
I took the first circle and ink blended Distress Oxide inks using Salty Ocean for the bottom half and Broken China for the top half. I splattered some water over the inked area and soaked up the excess with a paper towel.
I then took the second circle and die cut from the centre the next smallest circle die I had. This gives a round frame for the window. I used C0 and C2 Copic markers to colour the frame and a silver Sharpie pen to add dots around the frame.
Next I stamped my images. I used Memento Tuxedo black ink to stamp on Neenah classic crest solar white cardstock. I used the octopus, fish and the girl and coloured them with my Copic markers then cut them out.
Using a liquid adhesive I attached the circle frame to the inked circle. The liquid glue allows some time to move the frame to the perfect position. I used a tape runner to attach the fish and octopus to the window.
Now it is time to work on the card base. I took a piece of purple tape and masked off a section at the bottom of the card to represent the floor and blended some Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke ink. I then took Stormy Sky ink and blended an area that was slightly bigger than the window but without covering the whole card.
I attached the window to the centre of the inked area with my tape runner, then attachd the girl with foam pads to give the card some dimension. I stamped the sentiment with black ink.
To complete to card I added some dots of glossy accents and some sequins to the window and gems to the girls hat and belt.
I love how the card turned out. I hope you like it too.
Katrina.
