Bear hugs card

Hello. I hope you are well. Today I am over on The Little Paper Tree blog sharing two clean and simple cards. It’s nice to let someone know you are thinking of them and these cards are simple to make. I wanted to show you that by changing the background colours it can make the same card look very different.

I started my card by making the two card bases. I then masked off a strip of the card towards the top. Next I selected Distress Oxide inks, choosing a pink and purple plus a blue and teal combination.
I then used blending tools and to blend the inks on to the strip of card. I then peeled off the masking paper to reveal the coloured strip.
Next I worked on the bear image, stamping it out on neenah cardstock and colouring it in with alcohol markers. I then cut the image out.
The inked area was dry so I used the distress inks to stamp hearts on to the blended area in the same coloured inks and stanped the ‘hugs’ sentiment in black ink. I then adhered the bear to complete the card.

Head over to The Little Paper Tree to get all your supplies.

You can find all my latest cards over on instagram @craftylemur.

Take care for now.
