Hello. Toady I sharing a clean and simple sympathy card. It’s a card none of want to have to make or send but when we do I think clean and simple speaks volumes to the recipient.
I have started the journey of participating in the Altenew Educator Certification Programme and this card is inspired by the All About Layering 1 class. Layering stamps are not something I use often because I love colouring so much so I was excited to give it a try.
I loved the look of the painted flowers stamp set so decided this was the set I had to use to create my card.
I wanted to go for a simple repeated stamped area which would cover the lower portion of the card leaving the rest of the card blank apart from the sentiment. I used the different layered flowers and stamped them at different angles, adding leaves also at different angles. I wanted the stamping to be quite loose and not perfectly aligned to give the images that painted imperfect look. I am such a perfectionist myself it was nice to have a go at being imperfect and enjoying the process.
To use a layering stamp each layer of stamped in a different shade of ink. Following the stamping guide which can be downloaded.I used Altenew crisp dye inks and chose purple as my main colour.
I had great fun using the layering stamps and they are now something I will definitely use more often in the future.

Take care for now.
