Hello everyone from chilly England. I hope you are well. Today I am my latest Design Team make for The Little Paper Tree.

I started by stamping images from the Seasonal Sweeties stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps. I Stamped the girl, cat and a handful of leaves on to copic friendly cardstock. I then used my Copic markers to colour the images in.
Next I worked on the background.I had originally planned a galaxy but I was inspired by a YouTube video by Shari Carroll where she made a page for her art journal using Distress Oxides, showing how to make this type of background and I knew it would fit perfectly.
I took a piece of cold pressed watercolour card and attached it to my craft mat using purple tape. I selected Distress inks in autumn colours to use. I tapped the first colour of ink on to an acrylic block then sprayed with water. I then placed the block onto the paper in random areas, twisting the block to move the ink around. I then dried with a heat tool before moving on to the next colour and repeated for each colour, drying between each colour. Once I was happy with how it looked I used a gold watercolour paint and flicked it over the background. I love the effect and was really pleased with how it turned out.

Next I heat embossed a sentiment from the stamp set on to vellum with gold embossing powder. I then trimmed down the background to be slightly smaller than my card base so it left a small white border. I then attached the strip of vellum to the background byfolding it around the back and attaching with a tape runner. I then used double sided tape to adhere the background to the base as the watercolour card is quite thick.
I attached the images using a tape runner to complete the card.
