Hello friends.
I was so thrilled to be selected to be part of the design team for Downland Crafts. I am really looking forward to working with their stamps and card making products.
Now I know it’s only August but the weeks are flying by quickly and the crafting community is starting to plan for Christmas.
Today I wanted to share with you my first card using the Downland Crafts stamp set We Three Elves
To start I used mowed lawn Distress Oxide ink to blend a portion of the card base. I used ‘purple tape’ to mask off the area I wanted to keep white.
I then Spritzed the inked area with water to add some texture.
Next I stamped out the elves using Memento tuxedo black ink on to copic friendly card. I currently use Xpress it blending card. I used my Copics to colour the images. Then cut them out using my Scan N Cut machine.
Next I stamped the sentiment on to the bottom of the green area of the card, (being sure to use a powder tool first) using ‘Emboss’ clear embossing stamp pad. I then sprinkled Ranger princess gold embossing powder over the stamped area and heated it with my heat tool.
I then attached the stamped images to the card. To finish I used a Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to add a bit of sparkle to the stars.
Take a look at the Downland Crafts website there are lots of great stamp sets to get you ready for Christmas card making. My favorites have to be the Christmas jumper and Christmas treats sets.
Take Care for now.
Katrina.
