I love that moment when you peel back the masking paper after some ink blending.
I wasn’t sure where the card was heading I just wanted some blended circles and to play with my Distress Oxide inks.
I chose simelar colours to blend together. I am currently in the process of widening my Distress Oxide ink collection. I find it blends so beautifully on smooth card stock. I always used to use watercolour paper for blending with regular distress inks. I find the Oxide inks so easy to blend with hardly any effort and on a wider variety of cardstock.
To make the background I made a mask of circles by die cutting three circles on to a piece of masking paper in the positions I wanted them on the card. I then stuck down the masking paper on to the card and blended the inks. Then peeled off the masking paper leaving the circles perfectly formed.
I have been sorting through stamp sets that I have accumulated from craft magazine gifts and came across a nature set which was perfect for black stamping against the colours. Sadly the stamp set doesn’t have a name printed on it so I can’t remember where it came from or what it is called.
I used my misti stamping tool to stamp the images on to the circles, then added some gems to finish.
Here is the finished postcard.
Thanks for dropping by. Have a great day.
