Beachy card on a chilly autumn day

Hello. The weather is starting to get a bit chilly here so I decided to warm myself up with a beach card.

I started by stamping the image from Newtons Nook set Aloha Newton on to blending card and used Copic markers to colour it in. I then fussy cut the image and went around the edges with a black Copic marker.

Next I worked on the beach background using distress inks and a blending tool on watercolour paper.

I used a stitched border from Lawn Fawn and put it through my big shot die cutting machine.

I adhered the cat image to the beach background then worked on the background of the card. I used Newtons Nook Tropical Leaves stencil with distress ink on green cardstock to create this.

I also stenciled this on a small piece of card and die cut this with a small Lawn Fawn stitched border. I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set and heat embossed it with Papermabia white embossing powder.

I backed the small sentiment on to white card to make a thin border and placed all the pieces together.

I rounded the edges of the card and placed it on to a top folding card to finish.
