Rainy day card

Hello. I hope you are having a great day. Today I am sharing with you my latest design using Newtons Nook stamp set Newtons Rainy Day.

I started by stamping the main stamp image onto X-Peess it blending card using Memento tuxedo black ink and coloured it using Copic markers.

I then fussy cut the image and used a black pen to highlight the eyes on the animals. I also went around the edge of the image with a black Copic marker. I used Glossy Accents to make the puddle shiney.

Next I worked on the background using distress inks and a blending tool on watercolour paper. I used My Favourite Things mini cloud edges stencil for the sky and sprayed some water on the green ink. I then used a Zig clean colour real brush pen to add marks to give the impression of grass.

Next I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set and heat embossed it with Papermania silver embossing powder. I then stuck the main image on the card and added the rain drop stamp from the set for the rain using Lawn Fawn mermaid ink.

I backed this on to some purple cardstock to give a thin frame and adhered this to a top folding card base.
